**Job Title:** Liaison Officer

**JOB SUMMARY**
The Liaison Officer will facilitate MedGlobal Sudan’s operational access and compliance by managing relationships with government authorities, supporting visa and permit processes, and ensuring smooth coordination for staff movement and official documentation.

**JOB SUMMARY**
The Liaison Officer will facilitate MedGlobal Sudan’s operational access and compliance by managing relationships with government authorities, supporting visa and permit processes, and ensuring smooth coordination for staff movement and official documentation.
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
1\. Government Liaison and Representation
• Serve as primary focal point with government authorities, including the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC)
• Maintain regular communication with relevant ministries and local authorities
• Support registration, permits, and compliance requirements for MedGlobal operations
• Represent MedGlobal in administrative and coordination meetings as required
2\. Visas, Residency, and Documentation
• Manage visa applications, renewals, and residency permits for international staff
• Ensure timely processing and follow-up with relevant authorities
• Maintain an updated database of all staff documentation (visas, permits, IDs)
• Advise teams on entry requirements and regulatory procedures
3\. Access and Movement Facilitation
• Coordinate travel permits and movement clearances for staff and visitors
• Support access negotiations where required in coordination with security and programme teams
• Ensure all movements are compliant with national regulations.
4\. Airport Reception and Facilitation
• Coordinate airport pick-up, reception, and departure procedures for international staff and visitors
• Facilitate customs clearance for personnel and, where required, small consignments.
• Act as focal point for resolving entry/exit issues at airports.
5\. Coordination and Internal Support
• Work closely with operations, HR, and security teams to ensure alignment on access and compliance matters
• Provide regular updates on regulatory changes affecting operations
• Support documentation and communication required for partnerships and agreements
Temporary Responsibilities (Liaison Support)
• Support visa processing and residency permit applications in coordination with relevant authorities
• Maintain communication with the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) on administrative and access-related matters
• Facilitate travel clearances, permits, and official documentation as required
• Coordinate airport reception and facilitation for international staff, including arrivals and departures
• Liaise with relevant government entities to support operational access and compliance
**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, law, political science, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in liaison, government relations, or administration (INGO experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of Sudan administrative systems and regulatory environment
• Proven ability to manage government relationships and navigate bureaucracy
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High level of discretion and professionalism
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Fluency in Arabic and English required
Key Working Relationships
• Internal: Country Director, Operations, HR, Security, Programme teams
• External: Government authorities, including Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC), immigration offices, airport authorities, and partner organizations

This role is critical to ensuring operational continuity in a complex and evolving context. The Liaison Officer must maintain strict neutrality, uphold MedGlobal’s policies, and ensure all engagements with authorities are transparent and compliant
